Exams & Cleaning Procedure
Before commencing any treatment, your dentist will review your medical history and discuss any other previous circumstances that may be relevant to your visit. We X-ray your teeth to identify any issues that may not be visible to the naked eye, including issues between your teeth.
We thoroughly check each tooth to look for current or potential problems, followed by a scale and cleaning to remove any plaque build-up on your teeth. Your appointment will conclude with a discussion about your oral health, where your dentist will provide tips to help you maintain your teeth for life.
Benefits of Regular Check-up & Cleaning Appointments
A regular six-monthly exam and cleaning will keep your teeth and gums healthy and strong. Without regular checks, gum disease and cavities are more likely to develop unnoticed. The longer dental issues remain undiagnosed, the greater the chance of a dental emergency, pain, unbudgeted cost, and the potential loss of teeth.
Treatment Duration
As a new patient, your first exam and clean visit will be 60 minutes. We allow a little extra time at our clinics as we understand that many patients may have significant fear and anxiety around dental work. This extra time will enable us to get to know and understand you, ensuring that you’re physically and emotionally comfortable with your experience and that we answer all your questions.

The Cost of Exams & Cleaning
$299/ full service
A complete and comprehensive examination and cleaning, including X-rays, fluoride application, and oral cancer screening, costs just $299. Depending on your private health insurer, there may be little to no out-of-pocket fee.
