Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about appointments, treatments, and services with Dr. Eshaan.
Digital Treatment Planning
How do 3D scans help with treatment?
Dr. Eshaan uses 3D scans to show you exactly where problems are. For example, when planning root canal treatment, these scans reveal the exact shape of root canals, making treatment more precise.
Why do you need different types of X-rays?
Full mouth X-rays (OPG) show all your teeth and jaws in one image, helping spot problems like wisdom teeth issues. 3D scans (CBCT) provide detailed views needed for root canals or implant planning.
What is CBCT, and why might I need it?
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) provides detailed 3D images of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. Dr. Eshaan can identify hidden issues like root canal infections, plan precise crown placements, or evaluate bone density for implants.
Can I see how my crown will look before treatment?
Yes. Digital planning lets you see how your new crown will fit and look. Dr. Eshaan adjusts the design until you’re happy with how it will match your other teeth.
Does digital dentistry make visits faster or less invasive?
Yes, tools like CBCT and digital impressions speed up diagnostics, reduce the number of visits, and provide more comfortable experiences for patients.
Root Canal & Crown
When can a tooth be saved with root canal treatment?
Dr. Eshaan checks if enough healthy tooth structure remains. Many teeth that seem badly damaged can be saved through root canal treatment and a protective crown.
What happens during root canal treatment?
Treatment length depends on your tooth’s condition. At the first visit, Dr. Eshaan removes infected tissue from inside your tooth. If infection is severe, you might need antibiotics and a week’s healing before the second visit. Once infection clears, he seals the root canals permanently. After healing, a crown is often recommended to protect the treated tooth from breaking.
How long do teeth last after root canal treatment?
Root canal treated teeth can last as long as natural teeth when protected with a well-fitted crown. Dr. Eshaan’s digital planning ensures crowns fit precisely to protect treated teeth.
Will I feel pain during or after treatment?
Local anaesthetic keeps you comfortable during the procedure. Any mild discomfort afterward usually improves within days. Dr. Eshaan provides clear instructions for recovery.
Payment and Insurance
What health fund rebates are available?

Is your clinic a preferred provider for nib and HCF?
