What Are Clear Aligners?
Unlike ‘bracket and wire style’ orthodontic appliances that are fixed to the teeth for the duration of your treatment, our clear aligners are removable dental trays that are worn over the teeth, just like a mouthguard.

How SureSmile and Invisalign® Clear Aligners Work?
The planning
After an initial consultation with our Beyond Dental Care team, we’ll suggest the right clear aligner treatment based on your requirements, needs and budget. Once agreed, we’ll then take a series of scans. Using the latest virtual technology, you can see what your smile will look like before treatment goes ahead. Once everything has been signed off, your clear aligners are custom made.
The practice
Unlike fixed orthodontic solutions where one appliance is worn for your entire treatment, SureSmile and Invisalign® involve multiple aligners – typically somewhere between 12 and 48 depending upon the length of treatment. Each clear aligner is designed to be worn in sequence and will move the teeth a designated distance. Once the first aligner has done its job, it’s removed, discarded and replaced by the next one in the series. This continues until the last aligner has been worn and you have the straight, healthy and brilliant smile you desired!
Usually, aligners are swapped out every one to two weeks depending upon the brand, and are worn for anywhere between 6-18 months.
